We have much to be proud of. For over 30 years, we’ve been delivering innovative assessment solutions to professionals working in public safety, mental health, child development, education, and speech and language across Australasia. We were early leaders in the move to online assessments, helping improve both efficiency and access. We’ve also adapted and standardised international assessments for local use, ensuring the data professionals rely on is accurate and relevant to the populations they serve.

One of these assessments, the York Assessment of Reading for Comprehension (YARC), has become the most widely used individual reading test in Australia and is gaining traction in New Zealand schools. It supports learning specialists in making critical decisions about interventions and accommodations to help students thrive.

More recently, PAA has placed a stronger focus on supporting children who struggle with learning. We recognise the impact that literacy difficulties can have on speech and language development, especially in school-aged children. In 2018, we added evidence-based intervention tools to our offering—designed for use in schools by specialist teachers and Speech-Language Therapists.
